Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Seven Executive Limited is a global HVAC manufacturer known for its engineering excellence and innovation. They are seeking a Technical Writer/Illustrator to develop high-quality technical documentation for Tier 1 Data Center projects, collaborating with engineering teams and managing multiple documentation projects.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Inventor 3D CAD to view model geometry and develop manual content
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering teams to gather information for installation, operation, and maintenance instructions
- Develop manuals within a controlled document management system to support release and revision tracking
- Prepare sequences of operation describing the replacement of parts within HVAC units
- Gather photographs or 3D CAD renderings to provide visual guidance alongside written instructions
- Create visual illustrations to support service procedures, part replacement, installation, and operational instructions, enabling customers and contractors to follow detailed procedures accurately
- Manage multiple active documentation projects simultaneously while meeting project schedules and deadlines
- Prioritize activities based on engineering and manufacturing schedules and resource availability
- Maintain clear communication with management regarding project status, deliverables, and priorities
Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, specifically within the Data Center or Custom HVAC industry
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Adobe Illustrator, or similar technical publication tools
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred
