Genesis10 is currently seeking a Content Marketing Lead for a remote contract position with a Leading Technology Firm located in Sunnyvale, CA. This role involves owning the content strategy and execution to educate and empower small business owners globally, while collaborating with various teams to create a cohesive narrative.
Responsibilities
- Architect and execute foundational pillars for the small business community, including authoring a comprehensive playbook on how to grow a business on our client's platform
- Identify, interview, and write compelling, data-driven customer success stories highlighting SMBs utilizing the full suite of tools to scale
- Partner with Insights and Communications teams to turn data into high-value trend reports and editorial content
- Synthesize diverse product offerings into a single, unified, customer-centric narrative
- Develop content that serves the entire marketing funnel, from top-of-funnel brand awareness to down-funnel product adoption and retention
- Partner closely with Product Marketing, Brand, Insights, Web, and Communications teams to ensure content consistency and strategic alignment
- Work with regional and global marketing teams to ensure content frameworks are scalable and adaptable for priority international markets
Skills
- 7 years of experience in content marketing, editorial strategy, or brand copywriting, ideally with a focus on B2B or small-and-medium businesses (SMB)
- A proven track record and portfolio of producing high-quality business guides, long-form playbooks, and data-driven thought leadership reports
- Deep, empathetic understanding of the small business ecosystem, their operational pain points, and how they consume information
- Experience working as an early hire on a team or launching a new sub-brand within a matrixed, global organization
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with a proven ability to influence and collaborate across product, insights, and creative teams
- Data-informed approach to content; ability to look at engagement metrics, brand health dashboards, and user insights to optimize content performance
- Strong creative taste, sharp editing skills, and the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice across diverse content formats
