Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a strategic and talented Workday Developer – Digital Integrations. The Workday Developer, in our manufacturing environment, will need expertise in integrations, reporting, Prism, and Extend. As a pivotal member of our team, you will take charge of all things Workday – focusing on integrations and reporting to elevate our Workday platform and provide unparalleled support to our growing company. This proactive role requires collaboration with internal HR and Digital teams to implement, optimize, and maintain the Daikin Applied Workday platform. The ideal developer will not only design and implement system integrations but also maximize system efficiencies to meet the strategic and operational needs of the business while serving as a subject matter expert. What you will do:
Analyze Solution Requirements:
Serve as a subject matter expert in Workday development, emphasizing proficiency in integrations, reporting, Prism, and BIRT. Provide consultative practical solutions with requirement gathering, design, configuration, and testing. Proactively offering options, risks, and downstream impacts related to decisions
Collaborate with business units, Digital (IT) teams, and external partners to understand Workday functional needs related to manufacturing systems
Participates in engaging with the business customers on business processes and practices associated with the Digital systems that implement, support or enable those processes and practices
Participates in activities designed to ensure customer expectations are met
Receives, solicits, and interprets information and facilitates communication at appropriate levels between Digital and its customers by engaging in the preparation of documentation and presentations and participating in meetings
Participate in Delivery of Solutions:
Understands “customer context”, which consists of HR System processes and Digital infrastructure and tools which support customer needs
Understands key Human Resources objectives and processes of Digital’s customer, specifically how those objectives relate to the business’ problems and Workday needs
Maintain Documentation:
Prepares business requirements from which solutions can be developed
Create and update technical documentation, including use of Workday solution components, Endpoint specifications and solution details
Support Continuous Improvement:
Work with cross-functional teams to optimize Workday solution processes and improve system interoperability
Participates in engaging with the business customers on business processes and practices associated with the Digital systems that implement, support or enable those processes and practices
Ensure Data Security and Compliance:
Ensure Workday solutions comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Maintain accountability for data integrity, focusing on quality, accuracy, reporting, timeliness, and usability across core systems and related interfaces
Provide Training and Support:
Assist end-users and technical teams with Workday solution-related issues and provide training or knowledge transfer as needed
Activities include development of functional test scripts. Understands how to represent business processes, engaging customers appropriately in testing activities
Participate in Project Management:
Contribute to Workday-related projects by providing technical expertise, status updates, and risk assessments
Forges a network of beneficial relationships with all levels within Digital organizations and the customers of HR Systems to establish mutual trust and provide a foundation for high level project partnership
Initiates and develops working relationships with internal groups
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
4 years of experience providing Workday solutions on the Workday Solution Platform
Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD practices. 4+ years of Workday configuration experience implementing integration solutions using Workday Studio and XSLT for data transformation
Strong Proficiency in Workday integration technologies, including Studio, EIBs, core connectors, prism, custom report transformations, security, business process administration, and notifications
Advanced report writing, including composite reporting, and calculated field experience
Exceptional attention to details, critical thinking, commitment to data integrity, organization, and adept problem-solving skills
Ability to gather technical and business requirements and translate into action plans
Understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle including collecting requirements, design, development, testing, and move to production processes
Understanding of data privacy practices and regulations, coupled with the discipline to handle highly strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence decisions and drive results
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with business units and third-party vendors
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver timely, quality work within deadlines
Experience with Workday releases
Initiative-driven, inherently curious, and possessing analytical thinking
Excellent knowledge of PC software, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Google Workspace

Preferred Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
4+ years of proficiency in Workday Integrations, Reporting, Prism, BIRT and Studio
Experience in Extend
Agile sprint experience within ServiceNow
Proven experience as a Business Analyst
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams
Familiarity working in an HVAC manufacturing environment

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,00 - $153,300 (+10% bonus) in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
