JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job Title:         Regional Sales Manager – Eastern USA

 

Department:       Sales

 

Reports To:          Director of Sales

 

Status:                  Exempt

 

 

Summary:

This sales position is responsible for growing sales of water and wastewater treatment plants for the Food & Beverage (Wastewater), Pharmaceutical (Wastewater), Power, Manufacturing, Controlled Environmental Agriculture and Chemical Processing markets. We are looking for highly capable candidates with a track record of success that would be very motivated by a completely uncapped commission plan.

Products & Applications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Generate orders in target markets that support the company’s goals:
    1. Hunter’s approach to developing business with warm and cold relationships.
    2. Detective’s objective approach to listening and uncovering information, facts, and customer needs.
    3. Positioning our solutions as basis of design in technical specifications.
    4. Qualify bid proposal requests commercially and technically.
    5. Rationalize competitive intel on deals and develop winning strategy.
    6. Ask for order and negotiate acceptable order terms.
  2. Work with Marketing to develop territory marketing campaigns.
  3. Act as the liaison between customers and the internal teams ensuring end customers’ requirements are met.
  4. Intimate knowledge of market and customer drivers (economic, regulatory, and technical).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Regularly required to sit for prolonged periods; required to stand, walk, and use business equipment daily such as a computer, copier, telephone, etc.; occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 15 lbs. Complex thinking and analysis required with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.  

Work Environment:

Generally, works in an office environment, however, may be required to visit client sites and be exposed to indoor or outdoor industry specific elements.
