A day in the life:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Current FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate
· Rotorcraft-Helicopter; Instrument Helicopter
· Current Second-Class FAA Medical Certificate
· 1700 total time
· 1000 hours of helicopter time
· 800 hours of PIC time
· 100 hours of nighttime aided or unaided or any combination
· 350 hours of turbine time
· Valid Driver’s License
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 2000 hours of total time
· 1200 hours of helicopter flight time
· 1000 hours of PIC time
· 50 hours of unaided with 100 hours of aided night flight time
· 500 hours of turbine time
· Strongly encouraged
o ATP
o 1000 hours of turbine time
o Previous HAA experience
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
· Exposure to noise, vibration, and dehydrating environment of an aircraft.
· Exposure to patients with known or unknown infectious diseases in an enclosed space.
· Able to perform in both static and moving aircraft conditions.
· Ability to make quick decisions while remaining calm in stressful situations.
· Clear and effective communication skills are essential.
· Should be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting.
· Must be able to read documents, computer screens, and other materials.
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 pounds at times.
· Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule when needed
