The Research Analyst will investigate, analyze, and evaluate crash data to support planning and maintenance decisions, while also preparing maps and conducting safety analysis.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyze, and evaluate crash data for use in making planning, programming, design, and maintenance decisions
- Collect, study, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and draw conclusions and make recommendations
- Conduct safety analysis, prepare maps, project scoping, layout review, and permit and plat review
Skills
- A bachelor's degree in math, statistics, data analytics or a related field OR one year of professional (MAPE 05L or higher) statistics or data analysis experience OR two years of technical experience
- Experience developing reports and/or graphics to explain data
- Working knowledge of databases and spreadsheets, including Excel
- Experience collecting, researching and analyzing data
- Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
