Talent Groups is seeking a VMware Cloud Foundation Automation Engineer to design and develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for automating cloud environments. The role involves integrating VMware Cloud Foundation APIs and collaborating with teams to enhance operational efficiency and platform reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions to automate virtual machine provisioning, workload domain deployment, and network segmentation using Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation tools
- Integrate VMware Cloud Foundation APIs with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Splunk Cloud, and CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless automation and continuous delivery
- Build and maintain self-service catalogs, role-based access control (RBAC), and approval workflows to support multi-tenant cloud environments
- Automate lifecycle management activities, including platform upgrades, patching, capacity optimization, and operational processes across hybrid cloud infrastructures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cloud automation, operational efficiency, and platform reliability
Skills
- Expert-level experience with VMware Cloud Foundation components, including SDDC Manager, vSphere, NSX (Networking & Security), and vSAN
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, and REST APIs
- Hands-on experience with VMware Aria Automation (formerly vRealize Automation), VMware Aria Orchestrator (vRO), Terraform, and Ansible
- Solid understanding of cloud automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and hybrid cloud architecture
- VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) – VMware Cloud Foundation Automation
