As a Sr. Product Design Engineer, you will assist with design release control and engineering change management while collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage current and new product designs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering change management, requests, and cross-functional collaboration for new and existing product changes
- Create and maintain product BOMs and part numbers in ERP systems, ensuring complete and accurate structures
- Support new product design and development, providing input and troubleshooting for Bills of Material concerns
- Resolve project issues, monitor work progress, and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to product design processes and documentation
Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 years of experience, or 9 years of application, service, sales, or manufacturing engineering experience in large equipment industry
- Strong knowledge of Engineering Change Management processes and principles
- Proficient knowledge of design development, manufacturing and assembly operations, engineering processes and procedures
- Proficient with SAP, PTC Windchill, Windows for PC, and Excel
- Proficient with data mining and data cleansing using SAP, Excel, and other company software
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., lean, six sigma)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Management experience or exposure to diverse challenges and cultures
