[Remote] Senior QA Engineer - 100% Remote

Optomi is seeking a Senior QA Engineer with strong manual and automated testing experience within the financial services industry, specifically supporting loan origination systems such as Encompass. This role involves collaborating with a cross-functional IT team to ensure comprehensive test coverage and improve software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans for Encompass and related banking platforms
• Partner with business analysts, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to review requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Perform regression, integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing
• Identify, document, and track defects across multiple environments using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Build and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar technologies
• Provide ongoing analysis and feedback to improve software quality, testing processes, and team efficiency
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Ensure quality is built into the development process from the start

Skills

• 5–7 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester within banking, financial services, lending, or mortgage environments
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with Encompass or a similar loan origination system
• Experience working with third-party financial systems such as Encompass, LoanIQ, InfoLease, or similar platforms
• Strong background in both manual and automated testing methodologies
• Experience working in large-scale, enterprise environments, ideally within a major financial institution
• Familiarity with automation and testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, Cypress, or similar technologies
• Strong understanding of the loan lifecycle, including loan origination and servicing
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices and related tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
