Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SolveNow is seeking a Senior Piping Designer for a hybrid position. The role involves working on industrial and pharmaceutical facility projects, ensuring technical quality and schedule management, while mentoring junior professionals.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks
- Gain familiarity with the clients expectations, scope, budget, earned value (progress measurement)
- Lead projects with multi-office execution and schedule for assigned tasks
- Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly
- Review vendor drawings
- Execute piping engineering design
- Develop design estimates
- Utilize technical expertise to mentor other professionals
Skills
- Associates degree (AA) in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical degree
- At least 15 years of piping design experience
- Advanced working knowledge of piping design in 2D/3D modeling software such as Hexagon Smartplant S3D, Autodesk Plant 3D
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
