The Prime Search Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC system design for commercial building projects. This role involves designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and energy efficiency goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering of HVAC systems for commercial buildings, including:
- Air distribution systems
- Chilled water systems
- Heating systems
- Ventilation and exhaust systems
- Building pressurization and indoor air quality solutions
- Develop detailed mechanical design packages including:
- Load calculations
- Equipment sizing and selection
- Ductwork and piping layouts
- Mechanical schedules
- Technical specifications
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum 5–10+ years of mechanical engineering experience focused on HVAC design
- Strong experience designing HVAC systems for commercial buildings, such as: Office buildings, Healthcare facilities, Data centers, Educational institutions, Mixed-use developments, Industrial/commercial facilities
- Advanced knowledge of ASHRAE standards, including thermal comfort, ventilation, and energy efficiency best practices
- Proficiency with design and engineering software such as: AutoCAD, Revit MEP Autodesk Revit
