Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Veritus Group is a mid, major, and planned gift training and consulting agency focused on donor management strategies for non-profits. They are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead their marketing team, responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to generate leads and support their training programs and consulting services.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve our marketing and communications strategy, brand guidelines, audience segmentation, core messages, message platforms, and audience personas
- Author and run full campaign execution plans for all VGA courses and cohorts, applying proven direct-response and launch methodology to design multi-phase launch sequences across email, ads, webinars, and offers
- Create and execute strategy for expanding the VGA Affiliate Program, proactively coordinating with our affiliates as a channel to market VGA offers, and sourcing and onboarding new affiliates
- Use the community hub as a marketing channel, and coordinate VGA marketing-related communications within it
- Design and optimize VGA offer architecture, including sales, check-out pages, early bird mechanics and webinar bonus structures, as well as cart abandonment, upsells, downsells, and lifecycle automation logic
- Design and maintain the always-on lead-generation acquisition funnel, including lead magnets, opt-in landing page copy, and welcome and nurture sequences, for the marketing operations manager to build
- Direct, design, and manage content across the following, but not limited to, areas of distribution: Blogs, podcast, promotional emails, white papers and other lead magnets, webinars, workshops, conference presentations, and marketing-related community hub posts
- Collaborate with a copywriter and video/social specialist, managing the editorial review and approval process before content deployment
- Oversee paid social and paid search, plus creative production and updates, including international market targeting across Australia, Ireland, the UK, Canada, and other markets
- Work closely with the sales team, enabling them to meet their objectives by providing appropriate tools and materials for lead generation
- Build and maintain marketing reporting tools; analyze and report on performance across all channels, and bring recommendations to leadership
- Manage the hiring and supervision of a marketing associate
Skills
- 7+ years of marketing experience, including ownership of integrated campaigns from strategy through execution, measurement, and optimization
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven track record developing and leading digital marketing, direct-response, and demand-generation strategies for a considered, relationship-driven sale in course, enrollment, or e-commerce funnels
- Strong command of marketing analytics; proven ability to set the metrics, identify performance gaps, test improvements, and make data-informed recommendations to leadership
- Strong understanding of marketing automation, audience segmentation, positioning, messaging, offer development, and customer or donor journeys
- Strong project-management skills, with the ability to manage overlapping campaigns, deadlines, contributors, and approval processes
- Experience directing the work of internal team members, freelancers, or creative specialists
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to evaluate and strengthen marketing copy
- Ability to move comfortably between strategic planning and hands-on execution in a growing organization
- Working knowledge of Hubspot
- Experience marketing online courses, certifications, memberships, cohort-based programs, or other education products
- Experience marketing to nonprofit, fundraising, or mission-driven organizations
- Experience building always-on lead-generation funnels from scratch
- Experience partnering with a marketing operations function and a sales team
- Familiarity with international campaign targeting, particularly in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, or Australia
- Familiarity with relevant platforms including Slack, Kajabi, Asana, Meta, Google Ads, or other similar platforms
