Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive the strategy, development, and operations of their Tier-0 Virtual Networking and Identity services. In this role, you will lead multiple engineering teams to define the long-term technical vision and execute cloud-scale distributed systems that support Oracle's rapidly growing cloud business.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple engineering teams responsible for Tier-0 authentication, authorization, and virtual networking services
- Define the technical strategy and roadmap for critical OCI infrastructure services in partnership with Product Management
- Drive the architecture, development, and operation of highly available, secure, and scalable distributed systems
- Establish engineering best practices that improve service reliability, operational excellence, security, and performance
- Collaborate across OCI organizations to deliver integrated cloud networking and security solutions
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior engineers while building a high-performing engineering culture
- Influence technical direction and strategic decisions across the broader OCI Networking organization
- Represent your organization in executive-level planning, architecture reviews, and customer engagements
Skills
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, including 7+ years leading large engineering organizations
- 10+ years of designing, delivering, and operating large scale distributed systems in production environments
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and high-availability architectures
- Demonstrable success mentoring and growing engineers and people managers to senior levels
- Prior experience in owning and managing SaaS/IaaS services
- Strong knowledge of security, distributed systems, networking and high-performance computing fundamentals
- Experience leading organizations with multiple layers of engineering management
- Demonstrated success developing engineering leaders, scaling organizations, and delivering complex technical programs
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and executive leadership skills
- BS, MS, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

- Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.
