They are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to oversee transaction entries, manage month-end responsibilities, and collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the entry and review of transactions
- Journal entries
- Reconciliations
- Material batches
- Analysis
- Accounting projects
- Collaborating with other departments throughout CPI including Operations, Sales and the Finance teams
- Handling various month-end responsibilities
- Processing journal entries for rebates, commissions, inventory and revenue
- Conducting reviews for inventory obsolescence
- Analyzing sales, costs, and margins
- Facilitating job closure processes
- Calculating and preparing general journal entries for rebates, commissions, inventory and revenue
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts each month
- Investigating and resolving any discrepancies
- Upholding compliance with company policies and procedures

Skills
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
- Demonstrated expertise in accounting and financial analysis, is essential
- You should have 2-3 years of experience in accounting, specifically in subledger or general ledger accounting
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including sumif, lookup functions, and pivot tables, is a must
- Experience with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the COSO internal control framework
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Ability to focus on transaction processing with strong attention to detail
