Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Rose, Snyder & Jacobs is conducting a search for a Senior Accountant for a healthcare solutions provider. The Senior Accountant will oversee complex financial operations, manage the month-end close process, and ensure compliance with GAAP while driving process improvements and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure journal entries, accruals, and variance analyses are completed with precision
- Own the integrity and timeliness of financial deliverables
- Perform and review advanced general ledger reconciliations
- Manage multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations
- Maintain and reconcile complex fixed asset schedules
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to Board of Directors
- Deliver insights on budget vs. actuals and financial performance trends
- Support leadership with clear, data-driven analysis
- Serve as primary liaison for external audits
- Prepare audit work papers and support documentation
- Ensure strict adherence to GAAP and internal controls
- Identify and implement accounting process enhancements
- Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability
- Collaborate with department leaders and executives
- Validate complex revenue recognition, capital expenditures, and operational costs
- Provide guidance and technical support to team members
- Promote consistency, accuracy, and best practices across the accounting function
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA, EA, or CMA Required
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior or lead-level responsibilities
- Strong ERP system experience
- Exceptional problem-solving and data analysis capabilities
- Ability to translate complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders
- Experience presenting to Boards of Directors
- Financial analysis experience
- Advanced Excel (modeling, complex formulas, macros preferred)
