Ashfield MedComms is a global leader in the medical communications space, seeking an experienced healthcare communications professional for the role of Senior Account Manager. This role involves leading strategic publications programs for pharmaceutical clients, managing project delivery, and fostering strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day management of one or more publications accounts, acting as the primary client contact
- Oversee the delivery of publication plans, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and congress deliverables
- Build strong client relationships, providing proactive guidance and strategic support
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and financial performance to ensure successful delivery
- Collaborate with scientific, editorial, and production teams to deliver high-quality publications
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts and contribute to new business activities
- Support and mentor junior team members while promoting best practices across the team
Skills
- 5–7+ years' experience in medical or healthcare communications, with a strong focus on scientific publications
- Strong understanding of publication planning and the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven experience managing complex publications programmes and client relationships
- Confident managing project budgets, timelines, and multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in a life sciences or related discipline, or equivalent experience
