A full-time social worker position is available to support elementary students through telehealth services in Rockford, IL, from August 11 through May 27. This contract role focuses on providing social-emotional and behavioral support within the school setting.
Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering counseling to students experiencing behavioral, emotional, family, or mental health challenges
• Assisting students in developing effective coping skills to enhance success in school
• Partnering with families, educators, and community organizations to connect students with necessary resources
• Addressing barriers to learning and promoting positive attendance, behavior, and academic achievement
Qualifications:
• Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license is required
• Professional Educator License (PEL) is necessary
• Experience working with elementary-age students in educational environments preferred
