Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Themesoft Inc. is an Edtech company seeking a Project Manager who excels in complex, cross-functional environments. The role involves leading project initiatives, driving planning and execution, and ensuring successful delivery by collaborating with various teams while managing risks and adapting to changing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Own planning and execution for medium-to-large cross-functional initiatives
- Develop integrated project plans that align teams around shared objectives
- Coordinate activities across Product, Engineering, UX, Architecture, QA, Operations, and other business partners
- Ensure projects deliver intended business outcomes—not simply completed tasks
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable delivery plans
- Establish milestones, timelines, dependencies, and success measures
- Monitor project health and proactively address risks before they impact delivery
- Keep initiatives moving forward by identifying and removing obstacles
- Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders
- Lead project meetings, planning sessions, and decision-making discussions
- Surface tradeoffs and recommendations to support informed decisions
- Foster collaboration and accountability across multiple teams
- Identify project risks, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints
- Develop mitigation plans and escalate issues when appropriate
- Coordinate organizational readiness activities for significant releases
- Help teams successfully adapt to changing priorities and evolving business needs
- Promote consistent project management practices across initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve planning, communication, and execution
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, and operating models
- Support a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning
Skills
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship requirements
- Strong project management fundamentals including planning, scheduling, risk management, scope management, and stakeholder communication
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations
- Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or traditional delivery environments
- Comfortable partnering with engineering teams and understanding technical concepts well enough to manage delivery and dependencies. Software development experience is not required
- 3–7 years of project or program management experience
- Experience supporting software or SaaS product development
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar collaboration tools
- PMP, CAPM, Scrum, Agile, or similar certifications
