They are seeking a Lead Mechanical Systems Commissioning Engineer to manage mission critical commissioning projects, maintain client relationships, and ensure technical excellence in project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical delivery both as a project lead and technical resource for mission critical commissioning projects with minimal supervision while completing assignments that require independent judgement and evaluation
- Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and other project team members
- Develop and maintain client relationships. Develop relationships on projects that accrue good will with our existing clients and collaborate with our management team to extend our existing relationships
- Develop and manage project specific commissioning plans, commissioning procedures, checklists, test scripts, and schedules for Level 1 through Level 5 commissioning activities
- Perform technical reviews of design documents and submittals specific to mechanical and plumbing Systems
- Lead onsite teams to perform functional performance tests on mechanical and plumbing systems
- Provide project management and coordination to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget and schedule
Skills
- 10 years or more of progressive experience in building systems commissioning with at least 3 years of mission critical facility experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Experience in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems
- Able to work as part of a team, think creatively, and problem solve
- Working knowledge and experience of electrical systems
- Willingness to travel 75% or more as national level projects dictate
