Precision Partners is a specialist engineering company delivering industrial emissions control, decarbonization and process engineering solutions across North America. They are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical engineering aspects of multiple industrial projects from concept through detailed design and construction support.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering on multiple industrial projects
- Produce and review mechanical calculations and design packages
- Develop equipment layouts, piping concepts and general arrangements
- Review vendor drawings and technical submittals
- Prepare equipment specifications and datasheets
- Coordinate with structural, electrical and process disciplines
- Resolve technical issues during fabrication and construction
- Provide engineering support during commissioning
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and client standards
- Participate in client meetings and technical discussions
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering standards and processes
Skills
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- 7–12 years of industrial engineering experience
- Experience with industrial process equipment
- Strong understanding of fabrication and construction
- Experience reading and producing engineering drawings
- Knowledge of pressure equipment, ductwork, steel structures and piping
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Industrial emissions control experience
- EPC experience
- Autodesk Plant 3D or AutoCAD experience
- FE or PE desirable but not required
