As a Financial Research Analyst, you will research and structure critical financial data from publicly traded companies, serving as a key resource for investment professionals.
Responsibilities
- Utilize proprietary software to annotate and structure SEC filings
- Review public filings and press releases for financial disclosures and standardize, database and maintain the information
- Collaborate with team members to establish reporting requirements and to ensure data integrity
- Work on special projects throughout the year that help improve the breadth, depth, and accuracy of our data
- As part of this role, there are periods of higher volume each quarter that require the ability to work beyond the standard 40 hours per week which is overtime eligible
Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in data analysis, finance, or a related analytical field (open to recent graduates)
- A foundational understanding of stock market principles and a genuine interest in the investment landscape
- Exceptional data entry accuracy with a 'zero-error' mindset and a sharp eye for detail
- Ability to prioritize high-volume tasks and manage multiple projects under tight market deadlines
- A high degree of initiative and the ability to exercise independent judgment when navigating complex data
- Ability to be flexible and work within a collaborative team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; thrives in both collaborative team settings and independent deep-work sessions
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Accounting preferred
- Strong command of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.) preferred
