[Remote] Cyber Security Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BrothersTech is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join their security team. The role involves protecting enterprise infrastructure, identifying security risks, implementing security controls, and responding to cyber threats across on-premises and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to security alerts using SIEM and EDR platforms
• Investigate and resolve cybersecurity incidents
• Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities
• Implement and maintain endpoint security solutions
• Secure Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and WAF solutions
• Conduct threat hunting and malware analysis
• Develop security automation using PowerShell or Python
• Perform security hardening for servers, cloud resources, and endpoints
• Implement IAM, MFA, Conditional Access, and PAM solutions
• Assist with penetration testing and remediation efforts
• Maintain security policies and documentation
• Support audits and compliance initiatives (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA)
• Collaborate with IT, DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams
• Participate in an on-call incident response rotation

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of Cyber Security or Information Security experience
• Experience with SIEM and EDR platforms
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools
• Strong understanding of networking and security principles
• Experience securing Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux security
• Experience with PowerShell or Python scripting
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• CompTIA Security+
• GIAC Certifications (GSEC, GCIA, GCIH)
• Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst (SC-200)
• Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator (SC-300)
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
