They are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee financial strategy and operations, manage budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with regulations. The CFO will also collaborate with leadership on financial planning and provide insights to support the organization’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing ArMA’s financial strategy, operations, and reporting
- Managing budgeting and forecasting
- Monitoring cash flow
- Preparing accurate financial statements and reports for leadership and the board
- Maintaining internal controls
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and nonprofit standards
- Providing analytical insights to support strategic and operational decisions
- Collaborating with senior leadership on long-term financial planning, risk management, and resource allocation
- Supervising financial processes
- Working with external auditors or advisors as needed
- Recommending process improvements for greater efficiency and transparency
Skills
- Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy
- Proficiency in financial statements and financial reporting, with the ability to produce accurate, timely reports for leadership and governing bodies
- Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support evidence-based decision-making
- Experience with nonprofit or association finance, including compliance, internal controls, and audit coordination
- Advanced proficiency with accounting and financial software; familiarity with GAAP and relevant financial regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification
