What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule patient appointments for various services including diagnostic, surgical, and therapy visits
- Obtain and verify necessary demographic and insurance information from patients
- Register patients and accurately enter data into the scheduling system
- Meet individual quality metrics in a call center environment
- Provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients and their families
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Completion of the Patient Access training course
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in basic mathematical calculations and computer applications, including Microsoft Office
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) applications and accurate typing skills
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines such as HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare compliance
- Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole
