Purpose of Position
This is a part-time position that provides instructional support for delivery of undergraduate teaching in Department of MLS programs (MLS and HT). Specific assignments will be made based on availability and candidate experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop course materials in accordance with programmatic curricular guidelines
Deliver assigned course/course materials for undergraduate MLS and/or HT students
Evaluate and provide accurate and timely feedback for student work
Respond to and communicate with students in a timely and professional manner
Monitor and work with students to facilitate successful progress
Maintain course materials in Blackboard Learning Management System
Determine and report student grades in accordance with policy and deadlines
Conduct continuous quality assessment of assigned course/course materials, in alignment with program assessment processes
Participate in continuing education/professional development activities in accordance with departmental guidelines and as appropriate for instructional area(s)

Minimum Requirements
Baccalaureate degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (ex. CLS, MT)
Documented ASCP MLS/CLS/MT or HT/HTL certification
5 years experience as a MLS (or CLS, MT)
Experience/training in histology procedures
Teaching/training experience
3 years of supervisory or management experience in clinical/medical laboratory setting
Successful completion of a criminal history background check

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in MLS or equivalent
Documented Credential Maintenance (CM) through ASCP
Eligibility for MLS license in North Dakota
Experience with Interprofessional Education
