Position Overview The Medical Assistant is a part-time medical clinician providing care to students in the Endicott College Wellness Center. Reporting to the Director of the Wellness Center, the Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to nurse practitioners, handling student patient care, vitals, immunizations, and medical records Additional responsibilities include supporting operational and administrative needs and participating in key college events. Key Responsibilities ● 25% - Clinical Care: Prepare exam rooms, take vitals (blood pressure, weight), assist with physical exams, and administer vaccines. ● 25% - Student Health Support: Perform point-of-care testing, collect lab specimens (blood/urine), and aid with specialized procedures like splinting or dressing changes. ● 25% - Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, maintain confidential electronic medical records (EMR), and manage inventory. ● 25% - Patient Interaction: Greet students, document medical histories, and provide care instructions. ● Other duties as assigned Reporting Structure Reports to the Director of the Wellness Center and receives functional supervision from Nurse Practitioner staff. Works under general supervision. Qualifications and Skills ● High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited medical assistant program preferred. ● Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is often required. ● Experience: Previous experience in a clinic or college health setting is highly desirable, with a focus on working with adolescents and young adults ● Part-time, on-site position ● Prior office experiences in a higher education setting ● Customer service and confidentiality ● Ability to triage and manage multiple issues and concerns Effective Date of Current Version: May 2026 In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the annual base salary range for this position is $33,000-$38,000. Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, education, specialized skills, internal equity, and external market data when extending an offer. The final salary is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or other compensation.
