Job Summary
In this role, you will collaborate with the arenaflex IT information design and investigation teams to execute and maintain data infrastructure conditions that enable report automation for the arenaflex Healthcare Quality Improvement program – Data and Insights commercialization. As a Senior Data Analyst and ETL Developer, you will work closely with a cross-functional team of data investigators, BI engineers, system administrators, and data consumers to help deliver performance insights across arenaflex Health. Your expertise in data analysis, ETL development, and data warehousing will be essential in driving business growth and improving healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the delivery of arenaflex Health data and insights drives and projects, ensuring long-term and ad-hoc data ETL and data warehousing activities meet reporting and analysis expectations.
- Design, develop, and deliver layered databases and data pipelines to support reporting and analysis projects, applying data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices to integrate large datasets from various internal arenaflex production system sources and third-party records.
- Establish data preparation and pre-processing standards for populating consistent and accurate data models attached to report-specific working tables for both project business intelligence and pre-defined reporting solutions.
- Perform data profiling and data analysis across internal production systems, manually maintained data, and standard healthcare datasets (e.g., member eligibility, clinical claims, pharmacy claims, HEDIS ECDS records).
- Develop internal tools for automation of all improvement-related activities (data processing, QA, data validation, etc.).
Essential Qualifications
- Proven, hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts.
- Experience designing and delivering reasonably isolated data environments using ETL/ELT services that include but are not limited to Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Experience providing thought leadership and presenting tool rationalist semantic data layer enhancements related to BI technology platforms like PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical teams, internal stakeholders, clients, and vendor partners.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team management.
- Able to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of pharmacy, healthcare, and clinical research concepts.
