Econometrician/Research Economist for Empirical Research in Corporate Finance/Tax Policy

We are seeking an experienced econometrician or applied economist to help design the empirical strategy for two academic essays in the field of corporate finance and tax policy. What we need: - Review and refine the research design for two empirical studies - Advise on the best econometric approaches given the available data - Help define variables, identification strategies, and robustness checks - Provide guidance on potential methodological pitfalls and how to address them Databases to be used: - Orbis Europe (Bureau van Dijk) - CompNet (Competitiveness Research Network) Ideal candidate: - PhD in Economics, Finance, or related field (or equivalent research experience) - Strong background in applied microeconometrics (panel data methods, fixed effects, matching techniques, etc.) - Experience working with firm-level financial data (ideally Orbis or similar databases) - Published work or demonstrable experience in corporate finance, tax policy, or industrial organization is a plus - Familiarity with EU economic context preferred Deliverables: - Detailed written recommendations on research design for each study Apply Now Apply Now
