This is a remote position.
Based on availability and interests, the Accountant will assume a portion of the duties listed below. A key attribute of this position is consistently performing the selected duties on a regular basis (bi-weekly to monthly, depending on the task), using QuickBooks online.
Although the entire function will be shared, each person will be responsible for his or her respective area(s). The following is a list of duties.
Properly record bank and credit card activity to the general ledger
Enter bills for payment and create invoices
Reconcile accounts
Prepare and post monthly journal entries and allocations
Review standard financial reports for reasonableness and consistency
Close the books each month
Highlight any notable or unusual items for the period
Update the rolling budget
Save standard reports each month for management’s review
